W
e are going to be performing the UV Light upgrade
at the Sewer Plant THIS Thursday and Friday (3/18 &
3/19).
Unfortunately, this
requires the Sewer Plant to be temporarily shut down to allow
the light apparatus to be changed. That means the water you
flush or drain will have nowhere to go, except into the
underground pipes until we start the plant again.
We are asking that
all Town residents and businesses please refrain from
using the Sewer system (toilets, showers, sinks, dish washers,
clothes washers, etc) between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 noon on
BOTH days.
The underground pipes
can temporarily hold a small amount of sewer, but we are asking
you to be conscious of this project and to take any necessary
actions to prevent using the sewer system on these 2 mornings.
Thank you for your
patience as we bring our Sewer Plant into the 21st
century to better serve us all AND to protect the natural
environment of the creek and river. If you think about it,
please tell your neighbors about this as they might not have
signed up for the Town’s email list, and might not have read
about it in the paper.
If you have any
questions, please refer them to our Public Works Director, Jim
Shelhart, by emailing him at
